Österreichische Gesellschaft für Familienplanung (ÖGF) runs six clinics in Vienna and one in Lower Austria, specialising in fertility regulation services mainly for young people, migrants and people with disabilities.
Our clinic work is part-funded by the government and the Women's Department of the City of Vienna.
Our services are supported by a confidential telephone advisory service which has mainly been used by boys. Also, leaflets and posters for schools are funded by the Ministry of Education.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs looks to ÖGF for advice on international reproductive health issues.
The family planning association has successfully lobbied to amend proposed legislation which would have curtailed family planning counselling services.
The FPA has for many years produced a `contraceptive case' for the use of physicians, teachers and counsellors, and runs training courses for staff working with people with learning difficulties.
